General Operative

Job Types: Temporary, Contract
Gallagher’s Bakehouse / Promise Gluten Free are currently recruiting general operatives for our Production & Hygiene teams onsite in Ardara.

Our General Operatives are focused on ensuring that all areas of the facility run smoothly and are kept to a suitably high standard of cleanliness. A typical day will involve working as part of the team to hit our daily and weekly targets ensuring the highest production and hygiene standards across the facility.

Key responsibilities include:
– Cleaning of production line/machines and completing hygiene logs
– Involvement in setting up production lines
– Adhering to food safety standards
– Ensuring work area is kept clean and tidy in line with the Company ‘Clean as you go Policy’.
– Participating in on the job training
– Adhering to company policies
– Reporting of any safety issues observed in the factory
– Other duties as required

Van Sales Representative - Derry / Londonderry region

Job Types: Full-time, Commission
Salary: £68.00 per day plus commission

To develop sales of Promise Gluten Free and Gallagher’s Bakehouse products within County Derry /
Londonderry in line with sales targets set by the company whilst achieving the Company’s
presentation and quality standards. Successful candidates will be required to develop positive
relationships with new and existing customers within the assigned area.

Key areas of Responsibility:
– Regular collection of Promise Gluten Free / Gallaghers Bakehouse products from dispatch
site in Derry / Londonderry
– To achieve monthly sales targets within their assigned area.
– Deliver to all customers on the journey plan whilst maintaining presentation standards.
– Developing positive customer relationships whilst maximising potential sales.
– Merchandise the Company’s products to the highest possible standards whilst conforming to
plan-o-gram where relevant.
– To ensure adequate quantities of stock are always available for delivery through monitoring
sales, range selling and liaising with the store management.
– To correctly order, check and receipt all stock each day.
– To assist with new business development and opportunities to maximise sales within your
route.
– To minimise all returns & wastage in line with the Company agreed targets.
– To monitor and report competitor activity to Regional Manager & Van Sales colleagues.
– To complete all necessary paperwork to the agreed standard and timings.
– To complete a weekly stock take and account for all stock in their possession.
– To vigilantly follow the Company’s health, safety and food hygiene requirements.
– To maintain the Company vehicle in a clean, tidy & safe condition and complete weekly
walk-around report.

IT Technician – Ardara, Co. Donegal

Job Types: Full-time, permanent
Salary range: €25,000.00-€30,000.00 per year
Position Summary

The IT Technician will be responsible, through direct interaction with end users and management,
for providing effective and efficient on-site and remote support to end users and management on a
variety of technical support issues, including the set up and maintenance of computing equipment,
printers, faxes, scanners & other peripherals. The role holder is required to perform routine
maintenance functions such as hardware & software inventory management. Periodic travel may be required to support additional locations, and if so, the role holder must be capable of travelling without restriction.

Duties and Responsibilities
– Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.
– Responsible for exhibiting professional behaviour with both internal/external business
associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s
policies and practices.

IT Systems Administrator – Ardara, Co. Donegal

Job Types: Full-time, permanent
Salary range: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year

The role of IT Systems Administrator is a key to IT Department in Gallagher's Bakehouse / Promise
Gluten Free. Its primary focus is to maintain in-house and cloud IT infrastructure (servers, storage,
networks, third party systems used on-premises) and to provide IT support the site. The successful
candidate will also be required to show flexibility, with some occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:
– Microsoft 365 – maintenance of all modules, security improvements, periodical sanity tests.
– In-house network infrastructure maintenance & management (switches, VLANS, firewalls,
Wi-Fi, and VPN)
– Virtualisation & Hyper Converged hardware (VMware and HyperV)
– In-house / cloud storage management
– In-house / cloud backup management
– Software / Hardware patch management,
– Third party software and systems – maintenance and service (Finance, HR, ERP, Production)
– Actively monitor the IT environment and immediately report any anomalies to IT Manager,
– Maintenance of other in-house services such as printing or conferencing systems.
Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following:
– Strong interpersonal skills with ability to support and communicate with users on all levels,
– Self-starter who uses own initiative, and able to work effectively as a member of a team,
– Self-learner with a huge interest of new technology solutions, existing IT trends and personal
development plan designed.
Qualifications
– Third Level Degree preferred in Computer Science or equivalent,
– Microsoft 365 – excellent management skills,
– Hands-on skills and good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, certification is an
advantage,
– Virtual Machine hands-on skills and good operational knowledge – certification is an
advantage,
– Good understanding and hands-on skills of network management – certification (CCNA,
CCNP) is an advantage.
